16 Aug: NC Jain Memorial Lecture by G.P. Deshpande

The Nemichandra Jain Memorial Lecture this year is delivered by the eminent
playwright and critic, G.P. Deshpande. The lecture is organised by Natrang
Pratishthan. G.P. Deshpande is the author of several landmark plays,
including UDDHWASTHA DHARAMSHALA, ANDHAR YATRA, RASTE, and SATYASHODHAK. He
retired as Professor of International Studies from the Jawaharlal Nehru
University in 2005.

DILIP BASU is an actor, director, playwright as well as a scholar and critic of theatre. He is one of the founders of the Bangla theatre group Natyakaal. He taught English at Rajdhani College, Delhi Universiity and also Bangla at the post-graduate level at Delhi University.
